When I switched to the new Yahoo email presentation, the security image I had created no longer appeared. When clicking on "email" the next screen was email and no password was required.

Sounds like some where along the line it has "remembered" you on that computer and is automatically signing you in. Sign out, and also check your instant messenger settings to signout and not auto log in or remember you. Also your IE settings will remember your passwords and log you in if you don't set them off

If you access your email on a website....disable cookies on your browser for that specific website. Should be under options in your web browser. I justed checked firefox and it allows you to do it. (firefox: Tools%26gt;%26gt;Options%26gt;%26gt; Privacy tab%26gt;%26gt; exceptions button) Not sure about Internet explorer 7. Cookies are little files that remember you username and password amoung other things. This is why it doesn't ask for a password each time.
if you only delete your cookies...then you will have to delete them everytime that you go to that site. It is better to just configure your browser to not save them at all for that one site. You will want to keep them enabled for other sites though.

It depends on what email program you are using. If you're using a webmail, you have to clear your cookies; to clear your browser cookies on internet explorer do the following:
tools -%26gt; internet options -%26gt; delete -%26gt; delete cookies

Now if you're using an email client like outlook express or thunderbird, you have to open the properties of your mail account and uncheck the "save password option"

This is a precious email account. I have reported this abuse 3 times to yahoo only to get automated answers. I need a real case worker on this one. I will not allow someone to infringe on my rights and breach my Yahoo security of my account. It is not right and I need to know who can help me track this individual who did this to me? Does anyone have an answer for me? Or is this really a waste of my time? Any help would be appreciated.

Don't tell them your password, and make it something hard that they should not guess, and you are as protect as possible.
Your password should be at least 12 letters long and NOT a real word, a name, or based on your address, phone number, etc. Pick a favorite phrase (such as "I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree") and make the password the first letter of each word (ittisnsapalaat). Nobody will ever guess that, but you can type it by simple saying the phrase in your mind.

I automatically retrieve my email every 15 minute from my imap yahoo account onto my Motorola Q. For a year it worked fine. In the last month or two I get a pop up screen asking for my incoming password. This happens over and over. Most of the time I ignore it and at random times it reterives my email just fine. It's intermitant. I suspect something has changed at Yahoo, HELP!!!

Just go to Tools, scroll down to Options. Click on Privacy (should be a lock icon), then click on the Password tab %26amp; then click on the View Saved Passwords button. The passwords you typed should be listed.

Please note that this method only work for retrieving passwords used to login into certain sites. This does not retrieve passwords for programs that do not require Internet Connection to login.

Reply:I would never ask for my fiance's passwords, that is his private space. If a person feels they have no private time and no private space in a relationship, that's when they start feeling claustrophobic and a need to run away and start hiding things.
I don't ask for his passwords and when he is on the computer I don't walk up right behind him and read what he is doing. At least I give him a couple minutes to close anything private, first. He loves me and spends lots of time with me and I have absolutely no suspicions about anything. Trust.
Reply:My ex-wife was very controlling like that, and yeah, I did things that weren't respectful like that that caused her to be that way, and I see that was wrong of me. My gf sometimes would randomly go through her emails while I am sitting next to her randomly, without me asking. She feels that it's her privacy and wouldn't ask me for my passwords either, and after she would go through her emails, would ask me to open mine. I think that is a more non-threatening way of doing it, and requires us to have integrity towards our significant other instead of just having passwords. It does take a good deal of trust to not go there with the passwords. We have the kind of relationship though where we are open with everything. Having a more trusting and accepting mindset towards the other I think would free him or her to want to be more open with you if there is anything going on or any temptations. We have that kind of openness, but it takes time to build that by not being judgemental with each other.

Reply:I would never ask for my fiance's passwords, that is his private space. If a person feels they have no private time and no private space in a relationship, that's when they start feeling claustrophobic and a need to run away and start hiding things.
I don't ask for his passwords and when he is on the computer I don't walk up right behind him and read what he is doing. At least I give him a couple minutes to close anything private, first. He loves me and spends lots of time with me and I have absolutely no suspicions about anything. Trust.

My gf sometimes would randomly go through her emails while I am sitting next to her randomly, without me asking. I think that is a more non-threatening way of doing it, and requires us to have integrity towards our significant other instead of just having passwords. It does take a good deal of trust to not go there with the passwords. We have the kind of relationship though where we are open with everything. Having a more trusting and accepting mindset towards the other I think would free him or her to want to be more open with you if there is anything going on or any temptations. We have that kind of openness, but it takes time to build that by not being judgemental with each other.

I have heard that from a friend, well it makes sense to me. I mean the program might try some sequences in order to get the right password, and what is worse is that you can't tell if somebody has opened your email because he can simply mark your letters unreaded.

You should go to your internet browser and type in this code, 192.168.2.1, or the same thing but .2.2 ( it varies per each company) after this happens it should open a window that prompts you for your username and password, sometimes just password. the username is the model number and the pass is either "admin" or "1234" admin is normally used along with a username and 1234 is the answer when it just prompts you for a password, this should allow you inside your modem, once in here you should go through and it will either guide u to change your pass our you'll have to select it from a list, after this try it out again and you should be done XD gl

You can't.
You can contact Myspace to let them know what happened. They will look into it but the best they can do is delete the phished account and let you start over.

And when i use the alternate email, for them to email me when a pword has been changed. all it does is tell me its been changed. not the new password.
What i want to do is;
IF someone changed my password, i could somehow find out what it was changed to, and log on with it, with out it being changed. Does anyone know how to do this?
