I have not received an answer from Yahoo and have no idea how the hacker figured out my password then changed it to keep me from getting to all my files. It all happened when I responded to a scam by answering them with the word scam. How can I communicate a password to a recipent solely by email without using plain text?
The idea is that you would attach a password encrypted ZIP file; but anybody else reading the email would not know the password. If I ask him to answer a question, the answer being the password, it would have to be one that even his wife would not know the answer to. But, it has to be simple enough so that he would get it right without ambiguity. I want to discount "easy" answers like calling him and communicating a password by phone; or in person. Any clever ideas?

i dont know what happened. my password was randomly changed. i had to go through a long process to change it something i know. is there a reason yahoo did this?

Better check for worms and theft programs on your computer. SpyBot is one program that searches for and destroys many such "leaks".
There are others, for other specific problems.
But get a really good antivirus, and add the programs for their spy ware discovery and elimination, and be careful what you sign up for that takes a password.

MicroSoft Hotmail however did allow my Password to be compromised, and refused to let me talk to a real person, just kept wanting me to send an apparent AI ALL my private information. I finally, since I also was not allowed to close the accounts, had to change the PW to a huge random one from hitting the keyboard without looking, and left the account; and that seemed to eliminate the use by the spammers!!
Microsoft has been one of the most uncooperative systems for correcting problems, and the one who demands the most private data to even have an AI talk with you...and the AI's never ever were able to solve anything anyhow. But I would look to spyware, or a virus or mole in your program, or having put your password out somewhere to some of these social network programs that share it all over.

on to his laptop, leaves his cellphone on silent %26amp; keeps it by him at all times. He is also taking advantage of any opportunity he can to leave the house. If we have a disagreement he leaves and claims he has to leave the house because of the "toxic" situation. He claims hes going to the library to do homework, but he could have done his homework right here at home. He claims,that if he doesn't give me access to these things that I will learn to trust him. But,I totally disagree. How can I trust someone that is hiding things from me. I feel like

And could you imagine the hurt when this affair was going on right across the street from the Church we were married in.
You are right in not trusting him. He is cheating on you. If he had nothing to hide why is he hiding it? Its not so that you will learn to trust him. Its because he is doing something he doesn't want you to know about.
You have to be strong , tell him not to insult your intelligence and that if he wants to stay married to give you access to all of those things. Tell him if you are wrong you will apologize and never mistrust him again.

With forums and stuff you can let it log you in automatically, and I want to do that with facebook, because I can be looking at facebook and if I come back in 10 minutes, I have to log in again. I can't get it to make it to where it logs me in automatically when I visit facebook.com.

When my boyfriend and I first moved in together, I went through his computer to see if I could find anything suspicious. I didn't find anything and I told my boyfriend who then changed all his passwords. I didn't care because I didn't have any reason not to trust him. A few months later, we were going through very rough times and I caught him in a lie about another girl. I then told him I wanted to see his computer correspondence which he agreed to and then immediately changed his passwords so that I could not check them anymore. If there is nothing to hide why does he insist on his secrets? Especially since he goes through my emails (I have given him all my passwords)? And especially right after I catch him in a lie?

I have some friends that will look to confide in me about problems, struggles, important decisions, etc. Sometimes they will write me an e-mail for this advice, especially if a face-to-face is not feasible b/c one of us moved away or whatever. My friends, in these instances, will sometimes share very personal information with me. If they knew that I had someone else who had access to all my inbox's and passwords and regularly read my correspondences, I'm sure they would stop writing me, and I can't say I blame them. It's not about him hiding things from you. It's about other people who hide things from everyone else but him. He's the one person they trust. And you're included in that "everyone else" pool.

Take any site like e*trade or bank of america, etc. and they all do a good job of using https and never sending your password in clear text... but... if you forget your password they will send recovery instructions to your email account. Your pop3 email username and password IS sent in clear text right? So, couldn't someone get my email password, and use it to get the password reset instructions for my e*trade account?

you did not tell what domain your email address is having trouble for password recovery. if that email add is given to you by your ISP, then you have to contact the ISP itself and there is no need to use software to retrieve it. the ISP will reissue another password as long as you can give your full identity when you subscribe from them. for account created thru websites for free email accounts then contact those website customer service center for help.
