I want this change for security reasons. Thanks
How can I change my email to require password each time it is opened?
If you access your email on a website....disable cookies on your browser for that specific website. Should be under options in your web browser. I justed checked firefox and it allows you to do it. (firefox: Tools%26gt;%26gt;Options%26gt;%26gt; Privacy tab%26gt;%26gt; exceptions button) Not sure about Internet explorer 7. Cookies are little files that remember you username and password amoung other things. This is why it doesn't ask for a password each time.
if you only delete your cookies...then you will have to delete them everytime that you go to that site. It is better to just configure your browser to not save them at all for that one site. You will want to keep them enabled for other sites though.
Reply:Hi,
It depends on what email program you are using. If you're using a webmail, you have to clear your cookies; to clear your browser cookies on internet explorer do the following:
tools -%26gt; internet options -%26gt; delete -%26gt; delete cookies
on firefox: tools -%26gt; clear traces, then check cookies and click delete
Now if you're using an email client like outlook express or thunderbird, you have to open the properties of your mail account and uncheck the "save password option"
hope that this will help you
Reply:If u r using hotmail,,it gives u an option
Reply:it doesn't do that already? it should if it's e-mail
