When you're using Exchange Server in a domain, the e-mail password is stored in Active Directory. Assuming it's a user account, the e-mail password is identical to thier login password. In order to reset the e-mail password, right-click the user account in active directory and click on "reset password". The change will take effect the next time the user logs on.
When a company is using MS Exchange Server, how do you go about resetting an email password?
Most of the time, your Exchange email password would be the same as your domain account's password. So, it's just a matter of changing your logon password (do ctrl + alt + del, then "Change Password").
Reply:You have to contact someone in IT for that. Or someone that access to Active Directory to change the password.
Although some firms have group policies in place for allowing the user to reset their own password. It's really based on the IT policy of the firm.
